Pizzeria Regina, Allston MA

If you went to Regina's in the North End, and decided to design a theme park based on it, this is what it would like. That's not all bad though, they've got great people, a big bar (with Keno!), and the pizza is excellent, even if it's not exactly the same as what you get in the original location. We had fun talking to our host, Anthony -- that's him in the picture below. Clearly, he's not shy.

This place puts out tons of pizza -- I peeked into the kitchen where they've got at least six ovens. The pie itself is delicious. The crust, while slightly puffy -- even kind of
thick, is still very light and crispy. There's no real char on the bottom, instead there's a light dusting of semolina. Our pizza had Regina's signature sausage; juicy, flavorful nuggets generously applied to half of the pizza. This outpost also offers a regular sliced sausage as a topping, but I don't know why anyone would want to go for that.

Some might disagree, but for me, the more Regina's, the better.
